The Hamptons backdrop was almost beside the point — what mattered was the toasts, the cousins playing in the water, the grandchildren who'd never all been in the same place at the same time before.

Central Park can hold a large group without feeling crowded, and this family proved that an urban setting is no obstacle to something that feels genuinely intimate.
